Blackbeard’s Assault
One thing we can all agree on is that frog’s suck. Nobody likes frogs. With the exception of those frogs that dress in 80’s style neon clothing (which you can’t even pet BTW), frogs are flat out annoying creatures.
Besides the fact that they are all alcoholics just think of all our hapless women that have fallen victim to kissing thousands, literally thousands, of frogs believing the lie that they will be a Prince. This alone should outrage everyone. I don’t care for them. And this is the reason why I enjoy Blackbeard’s Assault. It’s similar in nature to the obnoxious game Zuma but the difference is, it’s done RIGHT. You shoot different colored balls at balls but with cannons…not from a frog’s mouth. I found Blackbeard’s Assault to be challenging as soon as I pressed start. I enjoy games that are instantly challenging and not ones that baby you until you’re ready (by then the games almost always finished anyways). In the levels I’ve played so far, you have multiple cannons to work with and not just one.
This creates more of an engaging experience and challenge. The presentation is very well presented plus the multiple power-ups located throughout are fun to discover. I also was impressed with the soundtrack. From my understanding, the game comes from an independent developer and not a large company so to create the soundtrack that is found in the game must have been hard work. I recommend this to anyone who hates frogs as much as I do and to those looking for a good challenge.
