2 Games You Already Have

Well, maybe YOU have these games already but there’s that lone stranger who just bought an iPod Touch/iPhone that has no clue about them. Most likely because I don’t think they’re as popular as when they first came out. The games I’m talking about are Papi Jump and Trace. Still there? OK…I see that YOU are the lone stranger with a brand new toy. Let’s talk.

Meet Papi

Meet Papi

Papi Jump (and my favorite PapiJump Plus) is a very simple game. So simple in fact, that my cat plays this all the time when I’m away from my iPod Touch. I’m constantly saying, “Muffins*!! Please put down my iPod…you’re getting litter inside the headphone jack!!” and then he scurries off under the couch to drop a deuce. He’s so cute. The idea of the game is to go has high as you can. Papi already jumps, you just need to guide him from one platform to another. It’s simple. But what makes it challenging is, and this relates only to the iPhone, is when Aunt Mauldina calls to tell you she saw you at the strip joint last night. You’re sitting pretty with a 15,683 score and BAM! you lose your concentration and Papi goes down. It’s frustrating. I think with the updates they’ve added a Pause button but this doesn’t do me any good. Once I’m on a roll, don’t breathe too loud or you’ll mess me up. This is the kinda game where you tell friends to shut up (politely) when you’re raking in the high score. Anyone can play it and most often, friends won’t give it back when you let them have it. On some websites I’ve seen, a drinking game has been established with little Papi. It’s a great game. The Plus version has multiple levels (platforms fall, Papi goes down instead of up, Papi shoots fireballs at enemies). If you have a dollar to spare, go for the Plus version. At least, give the free game a try when you get a moment. All the Papi games by Sunflat are great. (As of this writing, I knew of an imposter claiming to be a “Papi” game but I can’t find it. I guess Sunflat kicked their butt outta town?). *I don’t have a cat named Muffins.

I drew dis fer u!!

I didn’t draw the above picture for the record. It’s actually a game. But the drawing itself looks fantastic. Better than anything I could do. All I draw are pee-pee’s, wee-wee’s and boobies (that’s all French, BTW. Look’em up!). Trace is an amazingly addictive, fun game. There’s a ton of levels and some are quite challenging (see the above picture…I’m stuck on this level). The object is to draw the path for the little red man you see to the Sun located randomly in each level. However, there are multiple obstacles that make you start over when hit. Some are too easy, some are difficult and actually make you think. The game looks incredibly primitive but I think that adds some appeal to it. Having to create the level design to get from point A to point B makes this game very engaging. I can’t believe it’s free. THIS is a game that deserves your almighty dollar. I could list several other games that don’t deserve even your Monopoly money and I may just do so in a future article. If you don’t have this already, please, take my advice and pick it up.
